Through my internship at .Cent Magazine, a London-based online fashion and lifestyle publication, I gained hands-on experience in editorial writing, building directly on the skills developed during the Publishing & Media Relations module. The internship provided an opportunity to apply my knowledge in a professional setting while contributing fresh ideas and perspectives to the team.
My responsibilities ranged from writing editorial articles and supporting SEO marketing efforts to assisting with photoshoot production and post-production. A highlight of the experience was participating in London Fashion Week SS25 in September 2023, which offered invaluable insight into the fast-paced nature of the fashion industry. This multifaceted role not only enhanced my writing and communication skills but also expanded my understanding of digital publishing, content strategy, and creative production, significantly enriching my portfolio and professional development.
Following this experience, several of my articles were published on the .Cent Magazine website, marking a key milestone in my journey as a fashion communicator.

Imagine being transported into a world where dreams and luxury combine, where every scent tells a story as vivid and captivating as a piece of art, or as personal as a couture dress. One of the biggest stories of the latestsweetof fashion shows for 2025 was when the new creative director of Valentino, Alessandro Michele, showed his first collection. Outside of fashion is the ‘Anatomy of Dreams’ fragrance collection, which has also just arrived, and explores scent in the same way a couture dress is created. How can it be that someone, just by wearing something, can make an actual change in society? Probably because they’re not the only ones, maybe just a handful of others are taking similar outrageous steps and together they start a ‘tribe’. Communities are usually formed around similar ideologies and shared values, in the same way, fashion tribes follow a unique aesthetic and style. These groups are capable of exercising considerable subversive power not only within the fashion industry but also within society as a whole. The subversive power of fashion tribes lies in their boldness to challenge mainstream and traditional fashion conventions, pushing boundaries, tearing down establishments, provoking thoughts and inspiring change.
